Children’s Privacy and COPPA Compliance

This Website or Application is not intended for individuals under the age of 16 years. Addendum A – California Privacy Rights

Scope. This Addendum applies to California residents and supplements the Privacy Policy.

Under CalOPPA, California users have the right to:

  • Request access, updates, or deletion of their personal data, and
  • Know how their data is used and shared

The exact scope of these rights may vary. To exercise any of these rights please use the specific official state online request form. To appeal a decision regarding a consumer rights request, fill out the online appeal form within 30 days after the decision was rendered.

Under CCPA/CPRA, California residents have the right to:

  • Know/access categories and specific pieces of personal information collected, used, disclosed, sold, or shared;
  • Correct inaccurate personal information;
  • Delete personal information, subject to exceptions;
  • Opt out of sale or sharing of personal information;
  • Limit use/disclosure of sensitive personal information;
  • Data portability;
  • Non‑discrimination for exercising rights.

Sensitive Personal Information. Where applicable, we limit use/disclosure of sensitive personal information to the purposes permitted by law.

Opt‑Out Signals. We honor browser‑based global privacy controls where required.

How to Exercise Rights. Submit a request via our webform, email, or toll‑free number. We will verify your request and respond within the timelines required by law. Authorized agents may submit requests with proof of authorization.  

Addendum B – Virginia Privacy Rights (VCDPA)

Scope. This Addendum applies to Virginia residents and supplements the Privacy Policy.

Virginia Rights. Virginia residents may have the right to:

  • Access, correct, and delete personal data;
  • Obtain a portable copy of personal data;
  • Opt out of targeted advertising, sale of personal data, and profiling in furtherance of decisions with legal or similarly significant effects.

Sensitive Data. We obtain consent before processing sensitive personal data as defined by Virginia law.

Appeals. If we decline to act on a request, you may appeal by following the instructions in our response.  

Addendum C – New York Privacy & Security (SHIELD Act)

Scope. This Addendum applies to personal information of New York residents and supplements the Privacy Policy.

Reasonable Safeguards. We maintain a data security program with administrative, technical, and physical safeguards, including:

  • Designated personnel responsible for security and privacy;
  • Risk assessments and regular testing/monitoring;
  • Employee training and access controls;
  • Secure development and vulnerability management;
  • Secure data disposal practices.

Breach Notification. We will provide notifications to affected individuals and regulators in accordance with New York law.  

Addendum D – Other U.S. Privacy Laws

Scope. This Addendum applies to personal information of other state residents and supplements the Privacy Policy.

Colorado Privacy Act (CPA) and Connecticut Data Privacy Act (CTDPA). Residents may have rights similar to those described above, including access, correction, deletion, portability, and opt‑out of targeted advertising and sales of personal data.

Utah Consumer Privacy Act (UCPA). Provides rights to access, deletion, and opt‑out of targeted advertising and sales of personal data.

Nevada Privacy Law (NRS 603A). Nevada residents may opt out of the sale of covered information. Nevada provides its residents with a limited right to opt-out of certain personal information sales. Residents of Nevada who wish to exercise this sale opt-out rights may submit a request to this designated address: dev@bubbeapp.com.

Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). If applicable, we comply with COPPA when processing children’s information, including obtaining verifiable parental consent where required.

Gramm‑Leach‑Bliley Act (GLBA). For financial information, if applicable, we apply required safeguards and disclosures.
