About Bubbe
“Bubbe” means grandmother in Yiddish — a word filled with warmth, wisdom, comfort, and unconditional love. At Bubbe, we believe that intergenerational connection is one of the most powerful forms of care a family can experience.
In today’s world, many families live far from grandparents and extended family. Busy schedules, migration, and modern life have made it harder for children to experience the guidance, stories, traditions, and care that older generations can offer. Bubbe helps bridge that gap by connecting families with trusted older adults who can provide companionship, mentorship, cultural connection, and emotional support.
Research shows that intergenerational relationships can improve emotional well-being, reduce loneliness, strengthen children’s social development, and create a greater sense of belonging for both younger and older generations.
At Bubbe, we believe every child deserves the love and wisdom of a grandparent-like connection — and every older adult deserves to feel valued, connected, and part of a family again.
Meet the Team
Lisa Klein
CEO & Co-Founder
Lisa is a physical therapist who has spent the entirety of her 30+ year career learning how to help people get their lives back after injuries or health crises. She is also a certified health coach. Throughout her career in health care, she noticed that one driver was at the root of health as a whole. That driver is human connection....
Our society has become so individualized at the expense of these vital human connections. We are tribal by nature and need, for our actual physical health, to connect to people on a deep level on a regular basis. We especially need connection with people in generations above and below us. As we age, this need for connection becomes greater. And as families expand, so too does this connection become more critical to family and community health. This app is a vehicle to bring together three generations: elders who are looking to nurture the next generations, parents who are craving nurturing for themselves and their children, and little ones who gain in so many ways from connecting with wise and nurturing elders.
Robert Guglielmino
CTO & Co-Founder
Robert is an experienced software engineer with a passion for building technology that creates meaningful human connections. Inspired by the care, guidance, and support he received from Lisa throughout his own personal and professional growth, Robert became committed to helping others experience that same sense of belonging and encouragement.
As a co-founder of Bubbe, Robert leads the development of the platform, transforming the vision of intergenerational connection into a seamless and accessible experience for families. He is dedicated to creating technology that helps children, families, and older adults build authentic relationships, share stories, and foster connections that enrich lives across generations.
Fazila Muradi
CFO
Fazila is an education management and public administration professional with extensive experience in leadership and operations. She served as the CFO of a private consulting firm for six years.
Originally from Afghanistan and now an immigrant in the United States, Fazila brings a deep appreciation for the importance of community, culture, and belonging. She is passionate about Bubbe’s mission of fostering meaningful intergenerational connections, recognizing the vital role that relationships with older generations play in children's emotional well-being, personal development, and cultural identity. Through Bubbe, she hopes to help families create lasting bonds that preserve traditions, share wisdom, and celebrate diverse cultures from around the world.
Our story
Start
Raising a child is hard, important, fulfilling work. We noticed how much harder it has become for families to be close, stay close, and care for each other. After seeing so many new parents not have their parents accessible to help care for a growing community. We created Bubbe to help bring these groups of people together.
Mission
Our goal is to create an inter-generational web of love. Older adults find fulfillment and purpose, parents get help that they need, and children get the care and attention they deserve.
